Your cargo’s temperature and humidity, in real time

A coin-sized Bluetooth sensor that monitors temperature, humidity, movement and door openings. Your Vigilo tracker sends the data to the platform and alerts you as soon as anything goes out of range.

What it measures

Four sensors in a single device

Temperature

From -20 °C to +60 °C, with continuous readings and history to prove the cargo travelled at the right temperature.

Humidity

Relative humidity from 0 to 100 %, for goods damaged by condensation or dry air.

Movement and tilt

Detects if goods are moved, dropped or tipped over during transport.

Door opening

With a magnet on the door, you know when and where the cargo area was opened.

How it works

From the sensor to your screen, without cables

The sensor is placed next to the cargo and broadcasts its readings over Bluetooth. The vehicle’s Vigilo tracker receives them and sends them to the platform with the GPS position.

  1. Fit the sensor

With screws, a cable tie or adhesive, in the box, cold room, pallet or cargo area.

  2. The tracker reads it

The Vigilo tracker receives temperature and humidity over Bluetooth, up to 80 m away*.

  3. See data and alerts

The platform shows charts and history and alerts you if temperature or humidity leave the range you set.

* Range depends on the environment (walls, metal, cold rooms). Non-rechargeable battery: 2.5 years sending data every 3 s, 4 years every 5 s (default setting) and 5 years every 10 s. A Vigilo tracker with Bluetooth is required.

What is the EN12830 standard?

It is the European standard for temperature recorders used to transport and store chilled and frozen food and medicines. It requires a calibrated, accurate device whose records serve as evidence for inspections and customers.

Use cases

How temperature and humidity sensors are used

Shipping sensitive electronicsLogistics and delivery

Shipping sensitive electronics

Boards, components and electronic equipment that are damaged by heat, humidity or knocks. The sensor travels with the cargo and records temperature, humidity and movement throughout the journey.

  • Alert when humidity rises and condensation is likely
  • Detection of drops and impacts
  • History for claims against the carrier
Pharmaceutical distributionPharma and healthcare

Pharmaceutical distribution

Medicines and vaccines that must stay between 2 and 8 °C from the warehouse to the pharmacy. With the EN12830 sensor, every delivery is recorded by a certified device.

  • Continuous 2 to 8 °C monitoring
  • Records valid for inspections
  • Instant alert if the cold chain breaks
Refrigerated trucks and vansCold chain

Refrigerated trucks and vans

End-to-end temperature monitoring in refrigerated vehicles, with the GPS position of every reading and a record of every door opening.

  • Temperature and position on the same map
  • Door openings with time and place
  • Reports per trip and per customer
FAQ

Questions about temperature and humidity sensors

How does the data reach the platform?

The sensor sends its readings over Bluetooth to the vehicle’s Vigilo tracker, which forwards them to the platform with its GPS position.

Can I get alerts?

Yes. You set the temperature and humidity range for each sensor and the platform alerts you as soon as a reading goes out of range.

How long does the battery last?

Up to 4 years with the default setting and up to 5 years when sending data every 10 seconds. The battery is not rechargeable.

Which sensor do I need for food or medicines?

The EN12830 model, certified as a cold-chain temperature recorder, laboratory calibrated and with internal memory.

When do I need the ATEX version?

When the sensor will work in areas with a risk of gas explosion, such as chemical plants, refineries or fuel transport, or in mining.

Does it work inside a cold room?

Yes, between -20 °C and +60 °C. Metal walls reduce the Bluetooth range, so we help you decide where to place the sensor and the tracker.

Want your cargo always at the right temperature?

We will prepare a proposal based on your vehicles, cold rooms and type of cargo.
